I am standing here right after Mr Handyman of JOHNSON CITY walked away from my dream, destroying my vision and taking our money we really do not have. I am not one to keep things silent. I cannot find anyone to finish our kitchen and this company has caused us harm that CANNOT BE REPAIRED WITHOUT A HIGH COST SO NOW WE ARE FORCED TO SELL OUR HOUSE AS IS. I thought this entire vision thru and my tile floor was key to the flow I wanted. Joe Russo took that away from me. I am also a very kind person and I treated this crew with kindness they probably do not get anywhere else, so I was an easy mark for them to do what they did to me. AND THEY DID JUST THAT. THAT WAS REALLY EVIDENT WHEN THE TWO OWNERS FINALLY CAME TO OUR HOUSE TO SEE THE ISSUES. I have never met two more superficial people in my life as the owners of this company. The wife really took me back with her “better than you” attitude. I was sick that night. I had not eaten anything in more than a week.They did not care.. The husband wanted to come during the day. I asked that he come at night so my husband could be here. He did not want to do that. I finally told him his days off from work were going to be for cancer treatments. Can you believe I had to say that? On days I could hear the crew speaking I heard things a customer should never hear. I was insulted by some of the things they said. YET I was still kind to them. I have since LEARNED THEY WORK FOR ME AND I SHOULD HAVE STOOD UP ON DAY ONE. BUT WHEN I FINALLY DID THEY WALKED AWAY. I WILL NOT LET THAT HAPPEN EVER AGAIN. For those of you who have visited this page, thank you. Below you will see the nightmare they made of my dream. I am not afraid to tell anyone who I am or show my face. I have done nothing wrong but TRUST they would do what they were hired to do. They did not. So their faces and names cannot be shown. They know who they are.

HOPEFULLY THIS WILL LET THEM KNOW WHAT THEY DID TO US WAS WRONG. I AM LIVING IN THE HOUSE THEY WALKED AWAY FROM AND THAT IS ALL THE PROOF I NEED. AND MY BATHROOM TILE IS ALREADY CRACKING TOO.Our favorite place to get healthy foods. We cannot shop for meals any longer because we do not have a kitchen. I send this request to Handyman of Johnson City, TN almost daily. I need them for our loan and for credit card possible disputes. The last receipt I got was May 13th and they worked at our house after that. At that pint they had gone well over the legal amount of $25,000 they could charge without a state of TN Contractor’s license AND the electrical was a mess with the person they had doing the wiring who was also not licensed to do the work. This was supposed to be my dream kitchen. I planned it for almost a year. That tile is more blue than it shows in the photo. Cost $6300.00 RUINED It was supposed to have a light brown grout that matched the Brown that was faded in some of the tile and transitioned from my wood floor for the rest of the house. Notice how there is no grout in the front of the photo. That is because Joe Russo rushed the tile job and did not use spacers when he saw a clear photo of the sample board showing the tile was evenly spaced. Joe Russo refused to put the brown grout I wanted.
Joe Russo put those two cabinets too close together. He also put the electrical; outlet upside down and in the wrong place and he had the specs. When our Thermador appliances were delivered, they could not be installed, leaving us without any means to bake or cook.
Joe Russo did not put the water line to our Thermador freezer. He also told me that our freezer which is a $10K freezer had no ice maker when he had the specs. He scared me to death. We have not way to make ice. AND MY HUSBAND HAS CANCERThis is where our Thermador dishwasher was supposed to go. They could not install it because there is no water or electric going to it and a wire was left that no one knows where it goes or what it is for. Joe Russo did this. I gave him an almost new top of the line Bosh dishwasher. See image below to see how I am washing dishes now in 87 degree heat.
This is how we are washing dishes. It is 87 degrees out there most of the time. Joe Russo put this in and charged us and it leaked and my husband had to fix what he left. He has an almost brand new top of the line Bosh dishwasher I gave him, This light is too close to the cabinet and there is NO WAY to put crown molding up around it. TN THIS IS ALL AROUND THE OPENING BETWEEN THE REST OF THE HOUSE AND THE KITCHEN. THEY RIPPED OF THE THIN DRY WALL WHEN THEY REMOVED THE TEMPORARY PLASTIC WALL THEY PUT UP. A LOT TO SIT AND STAND Most of the time this was all he did, stand around watching the other two work. I have also found some printed items missing from my house wondering where they are. I left the house a few times and they were there alone with all of my things just in boxes since work was being done. I am not saying they took them. I am just saying they are missing.
The main reason this person showed up was to go get their lunch. His coworkers even told me that. One time he had overspent and was put back in the office where the other two were really glad he stayed. I do feel I paid for those lunches at the end of each day anyway. I never saw him do any physical hard labor. When they left he left my water hose I had copied up all undone. I was also told their only person answering the phones was useless. I am wondering now why those who made all the mistakes were talking about anyone else.
PROBLEMS WITH MY BATHROOM REMODELTHE TILE IS ALREADY CRACKING
NEIGHBORLY HAS A “DONE RIGHT PROMISE” AND MR HANDYMAN HAS A “MAKE IT RIGHT” GUARANTEE. NEITHER HAS RESPONDED TO OUR ISSUES SO I AM TAKING IT HERE. MAYBE they will see it here and honor what they advertise on their websites. I have texted and called and neither Neighborly or Mr Handyman have responded. THOSE ARE TIME STAMPED AND EMAIL AND TEXT ARE ALSO PROOF I HAVE CONTACTED THEM. As long as I have the DAMAGE PHOTOS and have documented what DAMAGE they did to my house I can report them right here. Mr Handyman’s employee, JOE RUSSO, did most of the work with help. My Bathroom has a vanity that is being held up by cheap pieces of wood I thought were placed there temporarily. It is a $7.000.00 vanity. I did point them out because my cats were causing them to be moved. He simply went in and shaved them off uneven and ugly and left them that way. Anyone seeing that WILL use that to NOT buy our house and their MAKE IT RIGHT GUARANTEE means they have to make it right. The owner, even said it was wrong when he finally came to our house to see ALL off the issues they are now refusing to fix. SO this page will document what damage they did with photos and videos.
This is how JOE RUSSO damaged my vanity by placing these UGLY pieces of wood under the legs AND LEFT THEM THAT WAY. He put the floor down too, so he cannot say it is the floor. He also did the plumbing in the vanity, which may be the issues. BUT he made no effort to make it look like it is a $7000.00 vanity. He DAMAGED my property when he did this.
This is what Handyman of Johnson City did to my 6300.00 tile and then walked away leaving no grout in it, blocking me out of my garage and driveway. This is ALL thru the 13 x 25′ floor.
He threw the floor down. I was physically blocked out of the kitchen so I would not see that since he did not use spacers, the tiles were close in some places, not lining up and other places there is a gap. It is really bad. EVERYONE who has seen it agrees he ruined my kitchen buy doing this. And these are professional people.
I am exhausted from contacting Neighborly and Mr Handyman and trying to get someone to finish the kitchen. AND dealing with my husband’s cancer. I had other companies coming in after Joe and his crew finished and I had to seal with that as well.
How anyone could do this to a person who paid so much is beyond me.
Here are the things I did for this crew
I bought their expensive lunches MANY times, Joe had to have a 25.00 dessert one day. My husband takes his own lunch to work.
Let them play their music loudly
They turned my AC down to 68. I froze. I told them I had Raynauds disease. They told me to put gloves on
Let them use the good bathroom instead of the one downstairs that functions, but not that nice.
Bought them a table and four chairs so they would have a place to sit and eat lunch . Bought them expensive danishes from Whole Foods MANY time and MANY of them
Gave them framed art prints. I am an artist and I printed and framed them
Painted Joe Russo an original oil of this barn he is doing for his daughter (He jus not getting it now)

This is the oil painting that I did for Joe Russo. An original oil painting from me like this one would cost around $6,000.00. I am a professional artist. I was stupid for doing it and being so generous, but he is not getting it.
We paid Handyman of Johnson City, TN more than $6,000.00, never getting any receipt ,to cut a wall out and install a 120″ four panel sliding door. They put it in PRIMED and did not paint it. I do have photos and videos of them doing the work. They cannot deny they did this. They Put it in right after it was delivered and then said “Ohh we thought it was painted already and we can paint anything.” NOPE that door cannot be painted once it is installed. Joe Russo had the specs on the door and even I knew that it was primed. AND look at that one side. There is NO way to get trim around the door with the way it was installed. FLUSH with the wall. I welcome anyone who wishes to come to my house and see the mess. I will gladly show you. $6000.00???? I priced it with another company. $2300.00 We were robbed. Beer cans brought in to our garage by Joe Russo and his crew. I should have asked them to leave this day. Had I known they would ruin my kitchen I most certainly would have done that, but I was afraid at the time I could not get anyone to come work at my house.Mr Handyman sent a man in to our house to do electric all thru the house. THEN when he got to our kitchen things went wrong and he told me we needed a new panel and for me to NOT let anyone come in the house to see what electric was done. I found that suspicious and when the electric company came I was scared to death my home owners insurance would be canceled and we would be fined for not getting permits. The owners told us we were the ones who had to pull the permits. WRONG, the electrician doing the wiring pulls the permits. I did a search online and Joe Russo is NOT licensed to do electrical work. The kitchen has issues I am not sure can even be fixed now.
This is how they left our garage the day they walked away from our kitchen. My gate was even closed to my driveway so I could not get back in. I could not park my vehicle in the garage. That python is not ours. It be.longs to them. The pieces to my cabinets trim were just tossed everywhere. I have no idea where anything is. There were heavy doors in the front. It took us three weeks to get the garage so I could park inside. WHO DOES THIS???? WHO????
